All articles submitted to the Journal of European Television History and Culture undergo a double-blind peer review procedure. The articles are reviewed anonymously by at least two referees with expertise in the field. Peer reviewers submit an anonymous written assessment of each article, made on the basis of the general guidelines, scope and requirements of the journal. The managing editor mediates the entire review process, selects and maintains communication with the referees in consultation with the editorial board and communicates back to the authors. Authors receive written notice from the managing editor who on the basis of the referees’ recommendations, approves, rejects or advices further changes for each article.
